The 24th Annual Official Homosexual Easter Parade is ready to roll Easter Sunday at p.m.
The 24th Annual Official Gay Easter Parade is scheduled to roll Easter Sunday, April 20 at pm. The parade will consist of numerous carriages, walking groups and convertibles.
The Gay Easter Parade started in in New Orleans as a fun way to showcase the fashion and creativity of the entire LGBTQ+ community with ladies in gowns or summer suits with Easter Hats and gentlemen in summer suits or tuxedos. It’s meant to be a fun cultural event the whole family can attend regardless of whether or not you recognize as LGBTQ+.
The annual march is a fundraising event for Food for Friends, a division of CrescentCare. Since the parade has raised $, for Food for Friends.
Our last two fundraisers are swift approaching. The Marsha Delain Purple Party is Saturday, April 12 at Crossing ( Dauphine Street) from 7 to 9 pm.
