Whether you wish to get out of the town to explore more of the scene (the beach or the clubs), or to escape the scene, you will need transport.
There are some amazing places to attend in Ibiza, secluded beaches all around the coast, terrific restaurants, caves and even a smattering of ancient monuments.

The tourist office down by the harbour, or the recent tourist booth on the Vara Del Rey, are your best starting points for exploring the island. Maps which split the island into five manageable areas are accessible, showing driving, walking and cycling routes. Beware the cycling routs, many are disused dirt tracks - it is easy to become lost, and the maps are not that accurate on the smaller tracks. (I got clueless a 'few' years ago, things may have improved)

Public transport is fairly nice, the buses are inexpensive and faithful if not over crowded.

Taxis are the most comfortable way to get about, you don't include to park them, but they can be impossible to find in the height of the season.

Car hire is fairly inexpensive, in relation to the UK, and mainland Europe, but parking in or nea

On this island you could travel to any beach and holding hands wouldn't be an issue: every beach is LGBTQIA-friendly: it's as simple as that. Here, beaches can be wild, compact, hold turquoise or almost clear moisture, can be surrounded by sweet-smelling pines or be possessed of a Jurassic rocky backdrop. In short, there's a beach to suit every taste.

Es Cavallet has the only really “official” same-sex attracted beach, having a big homosexual area that's popular with men. Then there's the beach at Figueretas, a resort popular with the LGBTQIA community, where many reasonably priced hotels are located.

You'll find the biggest concentration of LGBTQIA culture in the south of the island, one which has had a big alter on the island's clubbing scene. The south is where all the cruising goes on too; you'll see the sideways glances, so you'll know where you are when you get there.

There are a lot of nudist beacheson Ibiza, which are generally more relaxed, liberal and yes, LGBTQIA-friendly. People with all sexual orientations mingle, pointing all their bodies towards the mecca that is th

The whole of Ibiza town is that friendly, it is difficult to recognize what is friendly and what is cruising.

There are a number of areas that attract guys who -
    • fond their outdoors activity,
    • need to escape from the boyfriend for a quick, uncomplicated, fiddle about, or
    • are just two tight to obtain a drink in a bar.

Unless our research missed something there are five main cruising zones.

    DAY:
    • Rocky headland below Dalt Villa
    • Es Cavallet - beach - dunes - woods
    • Figueretes - the promenade

    NIGHT:
    • Dalt Villa Walls
    • Figueretes behind swimming pool

It is easy to show up in Ibiza off the from anywhere in Europe and forget that homophobic behavior exists. Easier still not to give a damn about what the locals might think, seeing two men at it on 'The Ramparts' at four in the morning.

Any problems when out cruising tend to exist at the very beginning of the season (around Easter), when the current position of local closets realize 'post-pubescent anxiety', and experience the need to state their feelings the only way they know how.
