Gay salsa dancing

If we use 10% (or even 5%) as a benchmark, I would say that gay men and women are very under-represented in my city&#;s (Houston, Texas) Salsa scene. I comprehend or am at least tangentially acquainted with a lotof people in our Salsa scene, and I can only think of less than a handful of homosexuals. I don&#;t ever think I&#;ve seen two men in Houston dancing Salsa together other than as a "goof," and there&#;ve been just a few occasions when I&#;ve seen two women dancing Salsa who come into view to be "life partners" -- rather than just bored with the truth that not enough men are asking them to dance. I&#;m aware, though, that among the local clubs that cater to gays, a couple of those clubs do participate Latin music periodically. I&#;m guessing that the lgbtq+ people who know how to dance Salsa manage to go to those places, rather than "stand out" in other clubs/bars. Some studios have lovely strict gender policies for their group classes about men leading and women following. We don&#;t really have a policy about that issue with my studio, but I don&#
