In light of the recent suicides of many pastors I decided to write this blog to help others understand the personal pain that many pastors contain. Depression is common in world and even more so for pastors and those that are care-leaders of any people. Let&#;s look at what I assume are the top six reasons senior pastors struggle with depression.

1.  Their elite status. Being viewed as superior to others often means that no one in your life will ever deal with you for the human being you are. You are forced to ignore or bury your humans for the sake of not appearing less than angelic. This can cause the person or the pastor to feel cut off, isolated, and untouched by those around them. This eventually becomes the lead to of bouts with loneliness that can lead to some vice or addiction to numb the pain. Also as an elite, you rarely get to catch your name. Your name is constantly repeated to you shrouded by the title of what you do. Being called anything outside of your name has the potential to bankrupt you of self awareness.

Dr. Larry Reid is the founder of the MBN Network (MBN), the owner of LDREnterprises, and the Senior Spiritual Leader of Reformation Church of Atlanta, a &#;cyber-church&#; that seems defunct. His website biography describes him as a &#;Multimedia Personality, Comedic Commentator, Songwriter, Recording Artist, and Spiritual Leader&#; who hosts a show where hundreds of thousands of people tune in each week.

Reid is known for giving social commentary and weighing in on spiritual abuse, setting himself up as a champion of the exploited who exposes bad churches and bad pastors.

A several months ago, a guy named Lavontraye Andrews publicly accused Larry Reid of molesting him when he was in his teens. Reid in turn sued for defamation but then quickly dropped the lawsuit. 

In an interview with Tasha K, Andrews shares that after his father and mother divorced, his father was absent and it caused him some trauma, having difficulty working through he effects of not having a father figure in his life.
