Is somebody gonna match my freak (find an mature person summer camp where we can spend our days reading, napping, swimming, and making s’mores by the fire without any screens or responsibilities)?

Because these elder summer camps are calling my name, and I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be able to restrain myself from saying screw it and booking flights to one of these camps from Amsterdam already, whether I have somebody to join me on the journey or not.

Maybe it was all of those weeks I spent at church camp between each school year (hi, former cabin mates, hopefully you don’t mind that I’m bi now!), but it just doesn’t touch like summer until I’ve disconnected from all of my devices to expend several days frolicking with friends and battling bug bites and sunburn in the wilderness, you know?

Jamboree is an alcohol-free event.

Jamboree is a great, inexpensive vacation like you've never experienced before!  Each year, 2SLGBTQIA+ adults (19+) from the Out & Out club rent a summer camp in the Haliburton area (3 hours northeast of Toronto).  You’ll stay in shared cabins in the woods, overlooking a intimate lake, and spend your days doing many of the fun things you did as a kid at camp: swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, playing volleyball, making crafts, hosting parties, putting on a talent show – or just relaxing on the dock.  Jamboree is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run event.  A unpartnered price includes your accommodations, activities, meals, and snacks.
