Men Hurting Men

All male BDSM happens within an invigorating set of wide ranging themes. All of the themes are within a decidedly male-focused exploration of behaviors expressed by four famous letters, BDSM. These four letters are internationally known as meaning several things such as bondage, discipline, dominance of men by other men, sadism and masochism.

BDSM Origins in the Ancient World

 

The origins of man-on-man BDSM as we now know it in the 21st century go back at least as far as the ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome. Two thousand years ago, the roots of what we now consider to be contemporary BDSM can be initiate within what were during that long-ago era man-on-man relationships and behaviors. [Citation: ] In other words, man-on-man BDSM is not &#;new&#; and certainly is not unique to you, alone. Countless other men over many centuries contain felt the same or similarly to how you feel today regarding male sexuality and what emerges as arousing sexually for men.

The second meaning of the S in BDSM, besides the duo Dominance and Submission, is Sadism. This term refers to the experience of gratification by inflicting pain on others. The resulting pleasure can come not only from causing physical pain. But also from humiliation, oppression and the creation of fear.

In this context, the German psychiatrist and forensic physician Richard von Krafft-Ebing first introduced the phrase &#;Sadism&#; in He derived it from Donatien Alphonse François Marquis de Sade, whose pornographic writings contained fantasies of violence.

Inseparable from Sadism is Masochism, named after the author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch (–). This term refers to the exact antonym – the sexual pleasure of receiving pain. Since in the BDSM context sadism and masochism are closely linked, the term &#;sadomasochism&#; arose. In ordinary parlance, this phrase covers all sexual practices that deviate from socially acknowledged norms and involve a combination of pleasure and pain.
