The LAGLCC promotes business networking among our members and within our community at large. This network fosters a sharing of information, ideas, contacts and products and services, and so strengthens and expands our businesses, careers and our community.
In a city characterized by congested freeways and increasing “disconnect,” LAGLCC members are devoted to supporting one another and building trusting relationships. With educational workshops, evening mixers, networking luncheons, joint activities with other organizations, and community involvement, the LAGLCC strives to connect members of our community and unite them for triumph both personally and professionally.
Since our founding in as the Valley Business Alliance, we have become and remain a potent voice in the LGBTQ people, and our contributions help to the community endure a source of lgbtq+ fest for our members. There are few other organizations with the breadth of experience in the LGBTQ market, than that launch in the membership of the LAGLCC.

Bobby Brown, 24, a well-known young male lover man, was twice assaulted and finally killed this past Wednesday evening, Rally 31, , as he was leaving our local gay bar, The Bon Mot, at Avenue 41 and Figueroa Street.
This assault represents the second murder in our gay society within the last two years. The first murder victim was Richard Lee, who was assaulted and killed at the corner of Avenue 43 and Figueroa on November 14, No suspects in that case have ever been brought to trial.
Bobby was first attacked around in the evening by two men described as adolescent Latinos in their preliminary 20’s thought to be members of a local gang. During the first attack, witnesses described Bobby as being on the ground with a shotgun pointed at his mouth. These witnesses, Tom Walters and his lover David, were shot at when they walked onto Way
Bobby escaped, robbed of his money, jewelry and keys. Tom and his lover had to crawl back into the lock to avoid being shot. The police were called, who arrived, too
Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Scientists (LAGLS) is an organization of professionals and students in the biological, mathematical, engineering, physical and social sciences meeting periodically throughout the Los Angeles area. Our purpose is to provide a social setting for lesbian, lgbtq+, bisexual, and transgender scientists and technical professionals, and to multiply the awareness of queers and non-queers to the presence of LGBT people in the scientific community. Membership is open to all who support our goals.
LAGLS, originally known as Los Angeles Gay Scientists (LAGS), started in when a gay botany professor and some of his colleagues decided to throw a dinner party for gay scientists in the Los Angeles area. The event was advertised on flyers distributed in the local bars (because, after all, that&#;s the only place queerfolk congregated in those days), and over 50 people attended! Exclaimed one attending botanist, &#;I hardly know any other BOTANISTS, and now I&#;ve met 3 other GAY botanists! The rest is history.
